WATER SCARCITY IN INDIA INTRODUCTION Water scarcity is the main problem in India.Water scarcity   is the lack of sufficient available water  resources to meet the demands of water   usage within a region. It already affects every continent and around 2.8 billion people around the world at least one month out of every year.The reduction of water scarcity   is a goal of many countries and governments. water scarcity involves water  stress, water shortage  or  deficits , and  water crisis . This may be due to both nature and humans. Main factors that contribute to this issue include poor management   of resources, lack of government attention, and man-made waste  .   18 percent of the world's population which resides in India only has access to 4 percent of usable water sources. Official data in the past decade depicts how annual per ca-pita availability of water in the country has plummeted significantly with 163 million Indians lacking access to safe drinking water  . W
